HUANG Ronghua, General Editor of China Taiwan Songbook Publishing Co,. Ltd. Visited Tsinghua University Press

On April 22nd, HUANG Ronghua, General Editor of Taiwan Songbook Publishing Co,. Ltd. (台湾崧博出版事业有限公司), and WU Guangwei, Chairman of Beijing Songbook Digital Technology Co., Ltd. (北京淞博数字科技有限公司), visited Tsinghua University Press (TUP). They were warmly welcomed by SUN Yu, Deputy General Editor, LAI Wenqiong, Director of Intl. Cooperation Dept., and ZHANG Xuejiao, Rights Manager.

    As one of TUP’s key partners in Taiwan, Taiwan Songbook Publishing Co,. Ltd. has signed over 200 copyright licensing contracts of traditional Chinese characters with TUP in recent years. During this visit, Taiwan Songbook Publishing Co,. Ltd. and TUP discussed profoundly specific tasks in projects of copyright license of traditional Chinese characters, the use of AI in the publishing industry, etc.

    SUN Yu welcomed the guests and fully affirm the close collaboration between Taiwan Songbook Publishing Co,. Ltd. and TUP over the past years. When discussing the role of AI in empowering the publishing industry, SUN Yu emphasized that TUP, faced with challenges and opportunities in a new era, is dedicated to keeping up with the times and exploring AI’s application in the publishing industry. She hoped that Taiwan Songbook Publishing Co,. Ltd. and TUP can further strengthen cooperation, share new technologies and ideas to foster innovation and development of the publishing industry. Huang Ronghua expounded on the company’s achievements in using AI technology for book publishing. He provided detailed examples of AI’s role in translating, sorting and optimizing content, editing and marketing.

    This visit not only deepened mutual understanding and trust, but also provided TUP with a broader perspective and fresh ideas, which laid a solid foundation for deeper collaboration in the future.
