First Editorial Board Meeting of Energy Materials and Devices Held
On April 10th, 2024, the first editorial board meeting of Energy Materials and Devices, an English open-access journal hosted by Tsinghua University, was held at the Shenzhen University Town International Conference Center. Fifty-four attendees, including journal consultants, editorial board members, young editorial board members, and editorial staff, participated in the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Executive Editor-in-Chief HE Yanbing.
Professor KANG Feiyu, the journal's editor-in-chief, delivered the opening speech, expressing welcome to the newly formed young editorial board team and encouraging collaboration between the editorial board and editorial staff to strive for the creation of an internationally influential top-tier journal. Academician YE Mingyuan, a consultant editor, pointed out the journal's focus on "devices" and emphasized the importance of global impact, improving publication speed and quantity, maintaining quality, and fully utilizing the role of young editorial board members to truly elevate the journal to a world-class status. The journal's managing editor, WEI Hejia, reviewed the journal's key milestones, achievements, analyzed the journal's impact data, and proposed the journal's plan for 2024. Associate editors YANG Qunhong, LI Feng, LI Liang, LI Baohua, WU Dingcai, LIU Bili, and the journal's senior editor, CHEN He, provided their insights on the journal's goals and positioning, expanding the scope of published articles, strengthening international media promotion, and leveraging the proactive role of young editorial board members to enhance the journal's characteristics, improve article quality, and expand international influence. In the free discussion session, attendees discussed various aspects such as journal promotion and publicity, increasing influence, manuscript submission and review processes, and award plans, proposing many new ideas and perspectives.
Energy Materials and Devices (ISSN 3005-3315) was launched in September 2023 by Tsinghua University and published by Tsinghua University Press as an open-access journal. Professor KANG Feiyu of Tsinghua University serves as the editor-in-chief. The journal focuses on original, leading-edge, and forward-looking research progress in the field of energy materials and devices, covering basic research, technological innovation, achievement transformation, and full-chain innovation in industrialization. It aims to build a world-class journal in the field of energy materials and devices, promote the development of energy science and industry, and contribute to "carbon peak and carbon neutrality." The journal focuses on advanced energy materials and devices that are innovative, practical, and pioneering, including but not limited to secondary cells, solar cells, fuel cells, flow batteries, capacitors, safety assessment, battery recycling, material characterization and structural analysis, carbon footprint, and carbon tax. In addition to publishing original research articles, the journal also features sections such as research briefs, reviews, news, expert opinions, research highlights, and comments.
